This Colt™ 6 Inch Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly is Designed to Prevent The Reverse Flow of Fire Protection Substances And Water of Non-Potable Quality From Being Pumped or Siphoned Into The Potable Water Supply Due to Backsiphonage And or Backpressure. It is Ideal For Protection at Cross-Connections Identified as Health Hazards Such as on Fire Sprinkler Systems And From Other Contaminants Found at The Service Line Entrance. This Compact Modular Design is Approved For Horizontal Z Pattern Installation. It Consists of a Stainless Steel Body With a Quick Access Sleeve, Torsion Spring Check Valves, Outside Stem And Yoke Resilient Seated Gate Valves, Test Cocks, And a Corrosive Resistant Bottom Mounted Pressure Relief Valve. It Comes Furnished With a Gallon Per Minute Meter to Detect Underground Leaks And Unauthorized Water Use. This Backflow Assembly Contains an Integrated Flood Sensor With Sentryplus Alert® Technology to Detect Excessive Water Discharges From The Relief Valve. When Activated Through an Add-On Sensor Connection Kit, The Flood Sensor Can Send an Alert to Notify Personnel About Potential Flooding.
